Opt-in to or out of Standard Overdraft Services

Financial institutions, at their discretion, extend overdraft services to consumers as a courtesy to cover check, debit card or ATM transactions at critical times. In return, consumers are charged an overdraft fee for this service. INTRUST provides this discretionary service through INTRUST Bounce Blocker® and is required to seek your consent to pay any one-time debit card or ATM transaction that will overdraw your account, for which there is a fee.

To receive this level of overdraft service, your consent (opt-in) is needed and can be submitted through this form. We’d like you to make an informed decision, so please review What You Need to Know about Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees on the next page before consenting (opting in) below to having us pay such transactions at our discretion. If we do not receive your consent, your debit card will likely be declined if the debit or ATM transaction will overdraw your account. Depending on your personal situation, having those transactions paid may be an important service to you.

This form can also be used if you later choose to revoke your consent (opt out) of having us pay such transactions at our discretion.

What You Need to Know about Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees

An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway. We can cover your overdrafts in two different ways:

  • We have standard overdraft services that come with your account.
  • We also offer overdraft protection plans, such as a link to a savings account, which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft services. Learn more.
This notice explains our standard overdraft services.
  • What are the standard overdraft services that come with my account?
    • We may authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:
      • Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number
      • Automatic bill payments

    • We may not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you ask us to:
      • ATM transactions
      • Debit card transactions

    • We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction.

    • If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.

  • What fees will I be charged if INTRUST Bank pays my overdraft?

    • Under our standard overdraft services:
      • We will charge you a fee of $35 each time we pay an overdraft with a maximum of 5 charges per day.
      • Also, if your account is overdrawn for 10 or more consecutive calendar days, we will charge an additional $5 per business day for a maximum of 45 days.

You must be at least 18 and an owner or Power of Attorney (POA) on an account to submit this form.
