We’re pleased to welcome Greg Murphy as the new Principal – Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for INTRUST Wealth and Retirement. Greg brings more than 25 years of institutional investment experience and a collaborative, client‑focused approach that strengthens how we support the individuals, families, and organizations we serve.

“My goal has always been to combine technical expertise with clear communication, helping clients and colleagues succeed in a constantly evolving investment landscape,” Greg says. “Along with delivering insights, my role is about fostering clarity, confidence, and better decision-making. When both sides walk away smarter and more aligned, that’s what makes the work deeply rewarding.”

In his role as CIO, Greg leads the investment strategy for our Wealth and Retirement division with a strong emphasis on partnership and advisor support. He works closely with advisors to provide thoughtful perspective, context, and disciplined oversight, helping ensure investment strategies remain focused on long‑term goals and tailored to client needs.

Throughout his career, Greg has worked with a wide range of institutional clients, including pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, and sovereign entities, helping them build resilient portfolios.

Greg’s arrival reflects the momentum within Wealth and Retirement. As Troy Jordan, Managing Principal – Wealth and Retirement, explains, “Our continued growth has given us the opportunity to strengthen our team and invest in future success. Adding Greg as CIO supports these adjustments to ensure we can keep delivering the level of service our clients expect while positioning ourselves for what’s next.”

Greg holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, earned his MBA from the University of Kansas, and completed a BS in Economics and Business Administration at Trinity University. Earlier in his career, he maintained a CPA license in Texas — experience that continues to shape his analytical mindset and dedication to ethical standards.
