Overdraft Protection

An overdraft occurs when you don't have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway. Considering the alternative, it's best to have coverage and never need it. We can cover your overdrafts in two different ways:

  1. Overdraft protection plans are available options to our checking accounts. These options include linking a checking account to a savings, money market, or other checking account and may be less expensive than our standard overdraft services. Learn More About Overdraft Protection Plans
  2. Standard overdraft service (INTRUST Bounce Blocker) At our discretion, Bounce Blocker may automatically1 apply to your checking account. This service permits the bank to authorize and pay overdrafts at its discretion for: checks; in-person withdrawals, recurring debit card transactions or other automated payments; or other transactions made using your checking account number2. INTRUST, at its discretion, may pay any ATM or one time debit card transaction into overdraft if you have opted for this service.3 Bounce Blocker permits us to help you cover an unexpected expense or avoid the embarrassment that may be caused by a recordkeeping error.4 Of course, paying an overdraft does not obligate us to pay future overdrafts.5 Learn More About Standard Service or Opt In
